Instead of rushing to the stores to scope out the bride’s wish list of appliances, linens and china, surprise her with a special gift from the heart. Or, if you’re the blushing bride working on a DIY wedding it’s a great, personalized touch to a very special day.

Instructions:
Prepping the binder
Ink the front, back, spine and inside front and back covers of the binder with black. Dry brush pink paint on top, then immediately swipe with a paper towel. Let dry.
For the cover
Cut a piece of black floral paper slightly smaller than the binder cover and ink the edges white. Stamp “guests” with black ink onto gray textured paper, ink the edges black and glue across the floral piece. Add a 1"-wide strip of inked gray and black striped paper (stripes oriented horizontally) over the left edge of the gray and black papers. Wrap a length of red grosgrain ribbon across the bottom edge of the gray textured paper, securing the ends to the backside of the floral paper. Glue the papers to the binder cover. Thread tan ribbon through the buttonholes of a large black button, knotting to secure. Trim the tails and glue to the bottom right corner of the binder.
Ink the edges of one manila tag black. Cut a piece of black floral paper slightly smaller than the manila tag. Stamp “Friends & Family” onto gray textured paper, adding a small heart stamp. Color the heart red, then layer the stamped piece onto the tag. Tear a small strip of gray textured paper and add to the black, above the stamping section. Ink the edges of the papers black, then staple the paper edges to the tag.
Stamp the Old French Script onto the large red flower. Thread tan ribbon through the buttonholes of a large black button, then through the center hole of the flower and the hole on the tag. Knot to secure. Wrap a length of black grosgrain ribbon around the cover, near the spine. Thread one end through the hole in the tag and tie at the top of the binder to secure. (You might want to use Zots™ to secure the grosgrain ribbon onto the front cover.) Embellish the black grosgrain knot with a knotted piece of red ribbon.
Inside front cover
Cut a piece of black floral slightly smaller than the inside front cover. Cut a strip of striped paper the same height, inking the edges and gluing to the left side of the floral paper. Glue floral piece to the inside front cover, slipping the right side underneath the black grosgrain ribbon.
Ink the edges of the second manila tag black. Cut a piece of black floral paper slightly smaller than the tag, tearing the top and bottom edges. Stamp the bride and groom’s names onto gray textured paper, add the heart and color it in, then attach to the tag with staples. Thread tan ribbon through a small black button, through the center of the small red flower and through the tag hole. Tie onto the black grosgrain ribbon and knot. (Use Zots™ to secure tag in place.)
Inside back cover
Cut a piece of black floral slightly smaller than the inside back cover, then ink the edges black. Glue to the inside back cover. Sand a binder clip, tie a piece of red ribbon through one of the holes and clip to the top of the back cover.
